Privacy
Hauntee is a personal catalog of haunted and weird places. You can browse the map and list without an account. Google sign-in is optional and only needed if you want to save favorites.
What we collect if you sign in
When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and Google account id (the sub value). We use that to recognize you on later visits. We do not ask Google for your contacts, files, or other scopes.
Favorites
Places you heart are stored in Postgres, keyed by that Google account id and the place id. We do not sell this data or use it for ads.
Cookies
We use cookies to keep your Auth.js sign-in session. Those cookies are for staying signed in, not for tracking you across other sites.
Places you add
If you add or edit a listing, that text and location live in the catalog. Please don’t put secrets or someone else’s private information in a place entry.
